This post contains my latest poem, after a long dry spell! It feels good to write again. Actually, I have written a couple poems for my girlfriend admittedly, however all other topics have been left untouched for months and months, and they were starting to boil over. Merry Christmas, Mrs. Curren! Allow me to recommend an essay from over 80 years ago by Abert Jay Nock (1870-1945) which I read many years ago (over 50) while in high school!

I have been re-reading a collection of his essays: one from 1927 (“Anarchist’s Progress”) states that everyone since the Grover Cleveland administration (he did not say which one, but presumably the first one) has realized that there is “no difference between the Republican and Democratic parties.” 🙂
The Uniparty has been around for a very long time!
Best Wishes and Merry Christmas again!

Thanks for sharing all of this fascinating info Ausonius. I’ll check out your essay after Christmas & try to get back with you on it (hope I don’t forget but the memory is no longer a steel trap here). Blessed Christmas to you & yours!
